What is the HF music tour?
The annual international music tour is now a 49 year tradition in the Homewood-Flossmoor community.
The music performance groups at Homewood-Flossmoor High School--band, choir and orchestra--take turns each year planning and executing a musical travel experience for their students. Students visit historic and cultural sites, sample the local cuisine, make new friends and perform at local venues, all the while acting as goodwill ambassadors for our community, state and country. The map shows all the fascinating and educational places to which our tour students have traveled over the years. About our tour studentsRepresenting HF on tour is an honor that each invited student earns by auditioning into top performance groups at the school. In addition each student must complete service hours For most of the students involved, the international tour caps a journey in music that began in the 4th or 5th grade. For a few, the tour is their first opportunity to travel beyond the Midwest.
